Watermelon was a fruit that never attracted me. When growing up we used to eat it often specially during Sundays get together. There was always this dilemma that watermelon could not be drunk after Coke or wine. , if you did you could die that was what we were told. And may be is truth. Not sure, but surely I would not eat today a watermelon with coke.
Then I stopped eating it. I did not feel it had much flavour and I did not know it was part of a healthy eating diet. Perhaps I never got the ripe ones. And for years did not eat it. My husband was not very keen either. When I had children and started going to children parties then there was always watermelon. And I found it delicious. My kids also love it.
