By doing what we want we can become happier. Sometimes we are afraid of doing things. We want to do things or ask for something because we believe we will not get it. We stop ourselves before asking.
Jack Canfield gives us a tip here. Whenever you are scared of doing something, feel the fear ad acknowledge that you are the only one creating the fear. For example if you want to ask for a raise to your boss, you can say “I want to ask for a raise, but I am scaring myself by thinking I will not get it”. Now you acknowledge that you are creating the fear. That you are imagining what did not happen.
So do this and then go and do it anyway.
