2013 Tapping World Summit Review:
Day 1: Use tapping to create an Abundant Financial Future with Nick Ortner.
In this interview Nick talks about how to use tapping to overcome the blockages to an abundant life. He shares his own struggle with debt and how he managed to get out of it. Nick then did several tapping rounds about money and anxiety, about the saying that “money is not spiritual, about the fact that you do not want to be a rich person, and about having money and being loved at the same time. This was a powerful session, but you will probably read that in every day review as I found them all very powerful and as said I got many aha moments. You can still get the recordings with the workbook and the tapping scripts. You will also get 105 limiting beliefs about money and success. and 105 empowering beliefs about money and success.
Day 1 – Using tapping to achieve the success you have always dreamed of with Carol Look
During this interview Carol Look discussed different ways we sabotage our success: Some of the topics she touched on was:
- Procrastination which is a big issue for many of us. You may think you are lazy but there is more than that to procrastination
- Fear of change. We keep doing what we have done because of fear of change.
- Playing small, overdoing (over spending, over eating, overworking), anything that keeps us away from dealing with our real feelings.
Then she talked about the benefits of staying where you are now, of not changing and what will happen if you succeed. (fear of success) She did a couple of tapping rounds on fear of failure, fear of success and fear of change. It is important that we change the emotions underlying our behavior, otherwise just changing the behavior will not work. Very powerful interview
Day 2 – Lose the unwanted pounds forever without dieting
Jessica here tells us her own struggle with lose weight and how she conquered it with tapping. She goes on to say that stress leads to over production of cortisol, which causes weight gain around stomach. Also stress leads to emotional eating, you just eat, when you are not happy, when depressed, when you are fearful. If we are emotional and eat, then we feel calmed. She did a couple of tapping rounds on the emotional effect of being overweight, the anxiety and on impulsive eating. She also talked about the benefits and advantages of being overweight. What could have cause the weight gain? Did you feel deprived, starved at some stage? What feelings you avoiding to deal when you eat? What will be the consequences of losing weight (perhaps you get more or less attention, perhaps you become successful)? We often keep our weight because of safety reasons; we do not want to be approached by the opposite sex because we fear getting hurt. She did powerful tapping rounds. The tapping will help change your beliefs about food, your weight and the connection between emotions and eating. If you change your beliefs (you can do it by tapping) son afterwards the extra weight will disappear. Get all the scripts to this tapping and the recordings, homework and bonuses.
Day 2- Tap away cravings and welcome healthy food with Paul Scheele
In this interview Paul gave some practical tips on how to stop cravings and eat healthy food Like the French people Paul suggests we focus on the flavor of the food. He also offers some great tips, like never go to the supermarket when you are hungry. Shop from the perimeter of the supermarket, where all healthy food is displayed (fruits veggies, bread). Chew your food well (over 30 times as 60% of digestion happens in the mouth. He did a couple of tapping rounds on establishing a healthy relationship with food and on eating to feed your body and not your emotions. He also did a tapping round for a positive body image. Get the recording of this interview and the workbook with the tapping scripts.
Day3 – Love yourself with tapping with Cheryl Richardson, and rediscover your sexy image with Margaret M. Lynch. I did a specific review of day 3 you can read it here.
Day 4- Tapping away your headaches with Gwenn Bonnell
This was a powerful session. Gwenn said that analgesics do not work on the long run. They might provide relief in the short term but not for the long term.
Research shows that if you take more aspirins you end up getting more headaches.
Studies have shown that acupuncture (or Emotional Freedom technique) work for headaches, backaches and arthritis.
She did a couple of guided tapping rounds to eliminate headaches or to prevent a headache.
She gave a shorter version in case you did not want to tap; you can just touch the tapping point and breathe.
Also she encourages you to find out what is the advantage of having a headache. / What are you gaining from it?
Day 4- Put an end to your pains with EFT with Rick Wilkes
The pain is the way in which our body grabs our attention. It is letting know that something is not quite correct.
By tapping you can eliminate the pain, but you also need to attend at the emotional side of the pain.
What is the pain trying to tell us? Is there an advantage in having the pain?
He did a couple of guided tapping rounds.
Listen to your body and attend to what the body is communicating to you.
Day 5 – Overcoming the fear of change with Mary Ayers
During this interview Mary did several tapping rounds to overcome the fear of change.
Fear of change is also fear of asking support from others and also dealing with the naysayers.
Tapping is a good way of clearing staff and being able to do the changes we want.
Day 5 – Grow your business and income with EFT with Pamela Bruner.
In this interview Pamela discussed some money myths.
Myth 1- Not charging money because you believe you should give your gifts away. There was a tapping round about this and overcoming the fear of being greedy feeling if you charge more
Myth 2 -: Cheaper is better – There was a tapping round that addressed this belief.
Myth 3: If I increase my rates no one will pay. Pamela did a tapping round about fear of increasing rates
There was a tapping round also to unblock the fear of giving your best and getting paid.
Day 6: – EFT for children – Overcoming anxiety with Steve Wells
This was also a powerful session, especially because I have young children.
During this interview Steve suggests that you d not overdo tapping with your children. Just tap when it is really needed. Try to use words that kids use.
Kids do not necessarily need to tap using words. You can just teach them to tap.
If your child has a tantrum, just tap on you. It is difficult to tap on a moody child.
It is a really good tool to teach your kids to overcome anxiety or any bad emotions.
Day 6: The powerful choice method that overpowers negative thoughts with Pat Carrington
The choice method s a modification of the original EFT, instead of saying
Even though… I completely and deeply accept myself.
You can say “Even though… I choose to completely and deeply accept myself.
It helps especially when you do not believe when saying ‘I completely and deeply accept myself”. You can then truthfully say ‘’I choose to completely and deeply accept myself”
You can also add the “I choose…” in from of any affirmations you use in your tapping round, for example “I choose to eat healthy foods”
Or “I choose to have a lovely apartment with a wonderful view….”
If you are angry for some reason, you can say “I choose to be open to a surprising new solution…”
Use the choice methods for positive rounds of tapping.
You do not need to wait till everything is perfect before using the choice method.
Pat also explained the touch and breathe method of using tapping.
Day 7 – Improve your eyesight with EFT with Eleanore Duyndam
This was a very powerful session for me, especially because I had laser surgery in my eyes. The doctor kept saying me my eyes would not improve without surgery, but I will definitely try EFT to improve the part that the surgery did not.
Eleonore told her own story and how she restored her vision to 20/20
Your eyes do not see properly because they are stressed.
Your eyesight is constantly changing, sometimes you see better and sometimes not so good, so you can improve your eyesight using EFT.
Your eyes are stressed for some reason; perhaps you do not want to see some things. She told of a method to find out what is the problem behind your eyes.
Who told you something about your eyes?
What did you see in your life that has affected your eyesight?
When did your eyesight problems start?
The best way is to journal to find out when your eyes started having troubles.
She did several tapping rounds on addressing your doubts that EFT will improve your eyesight. Another round of tapping to feel comfortable without your glasses., and other round on being able to see clearly without glasses.
In conclusion, contrary to what ever we believed your eyesight can improve even if you are over 40.
Day 7 – Declutter your home and heart with Lindsay Kenny
I told you I found all interviews very powerful and this one was no different.
Clutter signifies you have lost control. There are three degrees of clutter:
Messy, staff lying around
Messy environment (car, office, home, appearance)
Filthy – pathological
Clutter will start after a traumatic event. Try to think when your clutter stated, death, divorce, or any other loss, or traumatic event. She shared an exercise to find out what started the clutter
You need first to get rid of the shame and guilt of clutter. Use taping to tap on the shame and guilt of having clutter
Lindsay also tapped on all the trauma together. Put all the trauma together and tap on it.
Once you have tapped on all the trauma now tap on what you want, a clean house and tidy environment.
By tapping on how the clutter makes you feel, you will feel more inclined to get rid of clutter
Clutter is a reflection of your mind. So by tapping and releasing emotions you will naturally want to declutter your environment
Day 9 – Create and crystallize your most powerful vision with EFT with Brad Yates
People that set goals and visualize achieve the most, but also people are scared of setting goals. What happens if you do not achieve the goals, you will feel disappointed?
Goals are also not taught at school or at least were not taught.
Start with the end in mind and you will be able to reach your goals.
Brad did a round of tapping on resistance on setting goals
Doing a vision bard with tokens or images is a good way of setting goals of what we want.
Michelangelo was always the perfect statue inside; all he had to do is chip away the excess marble. Likewise we are perfect and all we need to do is chip away our limiting beliefs with tapping
Be clear on what you want to create and not in what the media wants you to create.
Set goals, do vision boards
Brad did a couple of tapping rounds: on clearing doubts about achieving your vision,
A tapping round to clear doubts of the ability of becoming healthier and on unleashing the super hero inside of you.
By tapping you can clear anything that blur your vision and does not allow you to achieve your goals.
Day 8 – Reboot your relationships with energy work with Donna Eden
Donna describes 4 sensory energetic styles
If there is something wrong between partners people think is psychological, but
It is usually energetic problems.
We are energy bodies, and there are certain things like how we react to our partners.
Energy starts evolving our brain so the brain starts reacting in different ways.
Visual style: you become very disappointed when the other person does not move with your vision. Your partner sees you as judging, but you do not see it as judging.
Digital style: You are more like a computer and get detached from your body and your partner. You remain cool, they are however kind when they are not in digital mood and become very good listeners.
Kinesthetic style: You are very compassionate and are afraid of confronting because you do not want the other person to feel bad.
Tonal they feel bad if they are not heard. They can feel rejected. They focus on people tone of voice.
We in general get attracted to opposites.
Stop and appreciate the other person, do an appreciation sandwich.
Donna tells us about her own relationship with her husband, they are opposite, and had to work on their energy, otherwise they would not be together today.
As long as you have a bond between you and you partner, if you work on your energy you can have a great relationship.
I find this energy work quite fascinating. Do not forget that when you tap you work with energies and can shift your energies.
Day 8 – Enriching your relationships through EFT with Dawson Church
The adult relationships are affected by the attachment bonds you have developed during childhood.
There are three types of attachments that Dawson mentioned: Secure attachment, ambivalent attachment and avoidance attachment.
Tapping can help you have some positive shifts and create new connection.
Look at adults and see what does really bother you, check when you have a big reaction to a small event. Where do you feel it in your body? What is the earliest memory of it?
Same as your anxiety did not start as anxiety but as small events.
Dawson suggests you make a list of all traumatic events you experienced in the past. Big or small events, make a list of 200 events and start tapping on each a day. In a years time your life will be completely different.
Day 9: Let tapping lead you to more Profound Spirituality with Carol Turtle
We are spiritual beings having a human experience.
How can tapping play a role in our spiritual path?
We are in purpose when we are in our spiritual path.
Tapping helps us release energetically and in thoughts anything that contradicts our true self.
By tapping we can let go of the negativity and self doubt so that we can become more our true self.
When we affect our energy, we are also affecting everybody else’s since we are all connected.
Difference between self esteem and soul esteem. Self esteem is operating on a mode of what is right for our ego. Soul esteem is energetically being moved, your purpose is connected with your soul and your purpose.
Self care is living an authentic life, living your truth without sacrificing.
She did a couple of tapping rounds on being your true self
Day 10 – Integration day
Jessica did a 20 minutes tapping on many different areas, from money, to relationships, self esteem and many areas more. This is a great tapping to do daily. You get the tapping script in the workbook and the recording.
Day 10- Personal Peace Procedure.
In here Jessica invited all listener to participate in a 40 day tapping challenge, where you tap on one issue a day.
If you have not listened to the summit, there are few more days in which you can purchase the recordings with the workbook. It is really worth while.
